Built an Enterprise Data Model to help drive a Data Warehouse/BI effort and to serve as a framework for bringing Data Stewardship concepts to WatchGuard. Facilitated Business and Data Modeling sessions with Senior Executives. Coached the Data Stewards on how to produce the processes and documentation needed to improve data quality. Designed the Star Schemas for the first two iterations of the Data Warehouse implementation.

Expedia

Managed a team of Data Architects responsible for data modeling for the Enterprise Data Warehouse and bringing Data Architecture best practices to Expedia. Facilitated business and data modeling sessions for an e-mail marketing project. Coordinated the development and adoption of Data Architecture standards.

West Coast Bargain Books

Developed an ERP system to manage all aspects of purchase and sales orders, inventory management, and transaction and analytic reporting. Produced a logical data model and implemented resulting database design in SQL Server. Developed interfaces to multiple web sites including Amazon.com.

Ste Michelle Vineyards and Estates

Managed a team developing the corporate data warehouse using COGNOS tools and SQL Server. Developed ETL processes using DecisionStream. Designed star schemas to support Impromptu reporting. Deployed several PowerPlay cubes for OLAP reporting. Implemented strategies for data cleansing and standardization. Redesigned the reporting environment for sales data including vendor selection and conversion to a new source for depletion data. Established best-practices for all aspects of corporate data architecture.

Served as consulting project manager and sole technical resource for the implementation of ADP’s HRizon HR and Payroll system (HRizon is a version of PeopleSoft licensed by ADP). Developed all HRizon system modifications and built multiple interfaces using MS Access. Delivered an on-time and under budget implementation. Provided production support services including SQL Server database administration.
